How do I add a company specific Web site to the list of URL's under the (W) Web button? Amongst the many options within The Investor's Toolkit, our software provides the flexibility to be customized to fit your needs. If you know of a Web site which provides company specific information by entering a ticker symbol, this Web site may be added to the list of URL's under the (W) Web button. First you must activate your Web button. Open the Toolkit and select Options | Preferences Select the "Internet" tab Place a check next to Enable Internet Access. Click OK Note: You must already be logged onto the Internet before using this feature. Next, go to the ticker sensitive Web site and type in a ticker symbol. In our example we will use http://www.Stockmaster.com as our company specific site. Once you go to stockmaster.com, type in a ticker symbol within the field labeled Name or Symbol and press the Go button or press enter on your keyboard. In our example I have used Abbott Laboratories (ABT) This will take you to a page which shows company specific information for Abbott Laboratories such as the current stock price and 52 week high and low. If you are following this example, and depending on the browser you are running, next to the section labeled Address (Internet Explorer) or Location (Netscape) you will find the URL has changed to: http://www.stockmaster.com/wc/form/P1?template=sm/chart&Symbol=ABT This URL reflects the page you are viewing. By placing this address into the Favorites section within your Investor's Toolkit and replacing the ABT at the end of the URL with $* you will be adding Stockmaster to the list of URL's under the (W) Web button To add the URL to the Favorites section of your Toolkit. Go to OPTIONS then INTERNET ACCESS Click the FAVORITES tab Click the ADD button Within the field labeled "NAME" type in "Stockmaster" Leave the Ticker field empty. Within the URL field type in http://www.stockmaster.com/wc/form/P1?template=sm/chart&Symbol=$* Note: We have replaced ABT within the original URL http://www.stockmaster.com/wc/form/P1?template=sm/chart&Symbol=ABT With: http://www.stockmaster.com/wc/form/P1?template=sm/chart&Symbol=$* Note: Adding the the $* is an important stepo used as a "wild card" to find the symbol within any company specific site. Next click the CLOSE button to complete the process. Once you open a company and click the (W) Web button notice Stockmaster will be added to the list.
