The National
Association of Investor's Corporation

NAIC
is a non-profit educational organization, headquartered in
Madison
Heights, Michigan, dedicated to the investment education of
individuals
and investment clubs.
The organization was founded in
1951 by a small group of investment clubs
with the purpose of educating
individuals to become successful common stock
investors and to build wealth
over their lifetimes through management of
their own investments.
The organization currently has over 750,000 members nationwide,
including
39,000 investment clubs and individual members. There are also
more than
250 corporations who are corporate members of NAIC, including
such well
known names as AFLAC, American Greetings, Exxon, Intel, MCI,
Wendy's and
many others. These corporations sponsor many NAIC events such
as the National
Congress each year and local Investor
Fairs®.
Regional Chapters, currently 100 in number, are
comprised of volunteers
who bring NAIC's educational tools and principles
to their area by sponsoring
seminars, Investor Fairs®, and other
programs to educate investors.
NAIC also has a national Computer
Group, which provides computerized
investment tools and education. Many of
the Regional chapters also have
Computer Groups who present computer
programs and seminars at the local
level.
Better Investing is an
award-winning, monthly publication of the National
Association of Investors
Corporation. It is sent monthly to each member
of NAIC, both individual
and club member, as part of their annual membership
dues. It is available
to non-members on an annual subscription basis.
The magazine is dedicated
to investment education and the promotion of NAIC
principles and tools. It
features many timely investment articles as well
as a monthly "Stock
to Study" and an "Undervalued Stock."
It also contains a
listing of the current events and seminars sponsored
by Regional chapters.
BITS is a monthly publication of the NAIC Computer Group, sent to
members
10 times a year as part of their annual membership dues. It
features stock
studies using the NAIC computerized investment tools as
well as a stock
screens showing companies which meet predetermined
investment criteria.
It also includes a listing of the computer events
held by Regional chapters
and articles giving information on the NAIC
software.
Membership in NAIC is available to individuals for $39
per year. It
includes Better Investing magazine, eligibility to
participate in the Low
Cost Investment Plan and all additional benefits.
Club membership is $40
for the Club plus $14 per member. Membership in
NAIC's Computer Group is
available for $30 per year, which includes a
subscription to the Computer
Group publication, BITS, or a combination of
Individual and Computer Group
membership for $64 per year. Membership in
the NAIC Computer Group also
includes discounts on most NAIC
software.
