Sending a Stock Selection Guide via E-mail
If you are one of the many who fall into the category of having club members who reside in other parts of the world you may find this of interest.
Note:
If you are unfamiliar with composing, sending or adding attachments to email messages please refer to the online help screens within your email software or contact your software vendor. Services that do not allow you the option to send or receive attachments such as Juno cannot utilize this option
Sorry !!!!
- Open The Investors Toolkit
- Select File
- Select Export Data
- If you would like to send a single company or just a few stocks highlight the companies that you wish to export then press the button labeled SELECTED. If you prefer to send all of your stocks simply press the button labeled ALL. By performing these procedures the selected companies will be placed into the section labeled Companies Selected.
- Press the down list arrow located in the section labeled EXPORT FORMAT and select NAIC 'SSG' Files from the drop down list.
- Press the button labeled Export.
Once you press the export button a window will appear labeled Select Export Destination, within this window the Toolkit asks you where you want to place the exported Stock Selection Guide (s). For example if you would like to place the Stock Selection Guide(s) onto your desktop the pathway would be C:\Windows\Desktop. Double click on the folder labeled C:\ then scroll down to the folder labeled Windows and double click on it then double click the folder labeled Desktop.
- Once you Press the button labeled OK the Stock Selection Guide(s) will be placed onto your desktop.
Now you are ready to send Stock Selection Guides to your club members via Email!
Attaching the SSG to your Email Message
- Open your email program.
- Compose a new email message.
- Type in the email address in the section labeled TO:
- Type in Club SSG under the section labeled Subject:
- Within the body type in the message you plan to send to your club members.
- Depending on the email service that you use you will have to click the paperclip icon on your toolbar which is used for adding attachments. AOL users will click the button labeled Attachments.
- At the top of the window which appears after you click the attachment icon/button you should see a field which reads Look In: click the down list arrow and change the present location to Desktop by scrolling to the top and clicking on desktop.
- Next, you should double click the stock selection guide(s) file which you previously exported.
You have just attached a file to an email message!!! 
- Now all you have to do is press SEND to transmit the file to your club members.
You've Got Mail 
Once the mail has arrived to its intended location the recipient will have to remove the Stock Selection Guide from the email message
- Open the email message
- Right click the attachment then click Copy with your left mouse button.
- Double click My Computer then double click on [C:\] C drive scroll to the folder labeled Program files and double click on it then double click the folder labeled Toolkit 3.
- Click Edit then Paste.
- AOL users will click the Download Now button. Switching from the default Save In: location to C drive (C:\) then scroll to the folder labeled Program files and double click on it then double click the folder labeled Toolkit 3 then Click Save.
- Close all open windows.
- Open The Investors Toolkit
- Select File
- Select Import Companies
- Click the section labeled Other Datafiles (If .SSG files) Otherwise use Toolkit SSD files.
- Within the window labeled Select SSG files to be imported, Double click on the folder labeled C:\ then scroll down to the folder labeled Program Files and double click on it then double click the folder labeled Toolkit 3.
- Under the Column labeled Available you should see the files that were sent to you in the email.
- Highlight them all.
- Click Add which will place the files into the Companies Selected column
- Click Import
- Within the window which appears Select the Portfolio in which you would like to import these stocks you may select the Stock Library, create a new portfolio or place into any specified portfolio.
- Click OK
Open a Company and call your meeting to order!!!
