- Where do I find Analysts' EPS Estimate ($)?
Analysts' EPS Growth Estimate ($) can be found to the right of the section labeled Earnings per sh. in the upper right hand side of the Value Line©
- Where do I find Analysts' EPS Estimate (%)?
Analysts' EPS Growth Estimate (%)can be found in the section labeled Annual Rates located on the left side of Value Line©. Where the Earnings line meets the third column labeled Est'd (year) is the figure that you would enter in this field.
- Where do I find the Quality Source?
The Quality Source is Value Line©
- Where do I find the Quality Rating?
The Quality Rating would be found in the lower right hand corner of the page below the section labeled Company Financial Strength.
- What figures should I use in the High/Low price fields?
You should use the 52 week High/Low which may be found on the top line of your Value Line© sheet where it reads High Low.
- Where do I find the Preferred Stock ($M)?
The figure for Preferred Stock may be found on the left hand portion of the page within the Capital Structure box.
- Where do I find Common Dividends?
Use the dividend for the current year within the column labeled Div'ds Decld per share.
- Where do I find Preferred Dividends?
The figure for Preferred Dividends may be found on the left hand portion of the page within the Capital Structure box. If you do not see a column labeled Pfd. Div'd there are none reported for this company. In this case you would enter a 0.
- There are 2 Date fields and I am not sure if I am entering the date in the correctly.
- The date next to the price is the stock price at the time of the study.
- The date above the preparer field is date of the Value Line© or other source date
- Where do I find Dilution?
Dilution, if significant will be shown in the Capital Structure box on the left hand portion of the Value Line© page.
- Where do I find Institutional Holdings (000)?
Institutional Holdings may be found in the upper left hand box labeled Institutional Decisions at the bottom of the third column labeled Hld's(000).
- How do I Enter data into fields with the ($M) label?
(Total Debt, Pfd Stock, Pfd Dividend and Common Stock)
If Value Line© gives the figure in millions, enter the number as is. If the figure is given as a whole number, as a rule of thumb you should divide any number you are to input into these sections by one million. For example if Value Line© states that the figures for Common Shares is 9965822 then you should divide this # by 1,000,000 to get the figure that you should input into this field which would be 9.97. (9.965822)
